The First Solaramo Cay Manuscripts Have Arrived at Palmista Press
There’s a certain kind of excitement that fills a publishing office when new manuscripts arrive.
Especially when everyone already suspects they’re holding something special.
Today, we’re incredibly excited to share that the first draft manuscripts for the first two Solaramo Cay novels by A. Heartwood have officially arrived at the Palmista Press Limited office on Solaramo Cay for editorial review and proofreading.
And yes…
Our editors may already be quietly obsessed.
Early Days on the Island
The books have not been released yet.
Readers haven’t stepped onto Solaramo Cay for the first time.
But inside the Palmista Press office, the island is already beginning to feel very real.
Stacks of manuscript pages now sit on desks beside coffee cups and handwritten editorial notes while proofreaders work beneath slowly turning ceiling fans and open windows facing the marina breeze.
It feels strangely appropriate for this series.
What We Can Say So Far
Without revealing spoilers, we can say the manuscripts capture something rare.
They don’t just tell romance stories.
They create a place readers will want to return to.
Even in early draft form, the world of Solaramo Cay already feels:
warm
immersive
emotionally comforting
romantic
nostalgic
and deeply alive
Several staff members have already commented that the setting feels less like a fictional island and more like somewhere they somehow remember visiting.
Which, honestly, may be the highest compliment possible for a series like this.
The Editorial Process Begins
Over the coming weeks, the manuscripts will move through:
editorial review
proofreading
continuity work
developmental revisions
formatting preparation
and production planning
Our entire team is eager to help bring the series to readers properly.
Because even at this stage, it’s easy to see Solaramo Cay becoming the kind of fictional destination readers emotionally move into.
Meanwhile, More Stories Are Already Being Written
While the Palmista Press team begins work on the first two books, A. Heartwood is already actively writing Books 3 and 4 in the expanding series.
Which tells us one important thing:
The island has many more stories left to tell.
Final Thoughts
There’s something magical about seeing a fictional world begin to take shape for the first time.
Especially one as immersive as Solaramo Cay.
Right now, the books exist only as manuscripts circulating through the Palmista Press office.
But not for much longer.
And after spending time with these early drafts ourselves…
We have a feeling readers are going to want to stay on this island for a very long time.
