The completed manuscript has already been delivered to Palmista Press and is currently with our proofreaders as it moves through the publishing process.

The novel explores one of the defining questions of transhuman fiction:

If a human consciousness could continue to exist digitally after the biological body was lost, would that digital consciousness still be the same person?

The technology may be extraordinary, but the consequences are deeply human.

A digital mind may possess the same memories, personality and emotional connections as the person from whom it originated. It may recognise its family, remember a shared life and insist that it remains the same individual.

But would the people who loved that person believe it?

Would they accept a digital consciousness as a continuation of the human being they knew, or see it as an artificial copy carrying someone else’s memories?

At the heart of the novel is a second, more personal question:

Would you still love me?

Transhuman Fiction with a Human Centre
